Friends

Happy Sunday to you!

Today is a very friend-filled day. We watched a field hockey game and went out to brunch with one set of friends. Then we met another set of friends and their pet wolf for a lovely long hike. When we were finished we decided we needed ice cream; exercising always leads to these cravings. So we went to Gifford's for some "wicked" authentic Mainer ice cream, including, but not limited to, Maine Moose and Lobster tracks. While at the ice cream parlor we were quickly tempted by the noises coming from the batting cages. One dollar gets you 14 balls. Lucky for us, our machine was broken, so we got to play ball for close to an hour. Poor kids behind us who wanted a turn-- we were not in a sharing/good-role model kinda mood (side note: I could hit the ball at 70mph). Then we came home, took a two hour nap, and now the cupcakes are in the oven for a mexican feast back at the aforementioned friends' apartment (which conveniently is four doors down).

I love days like this.
