The Acura broke down yesterday, and I have learned two things from this situation:
1) I should not take having a car for granted (even if it is as old as I am)
2) In a difficult situation, I shut down. I think this is because I know what I will say probably won't be nice. So I just don't talk at all. Passive aggressiveness will get me no where. I need to work on that.
A couple of fun things that happened:
1) I didn't have to go to work for 2 days in a row!
2) Chris and I walked 3 miles just to get a box of Oreos.
3) Today I "ran" errands by foot. I stashed cash and deposit slips in my running short's hidden pocket and ran a 4 mile loop to State farm and the bank. It was refreshing and productive.
Barry's Automotive just called to say the car is ready. Time to go get the beast back!
