Happy Valentines Day! We went on racquetball date and then chased it up with a hike and some lunch.
When we got home I revealed my masterpiece.
And the best part....
is the heart(ish) shape on the inside.
It took 5 hours to make this. When I was flipping the top layer onto the bottom layer my hands were shaking. It seriously felt like it was going to collapse (picture me laying on the floor covered in powdered sugar crying). But you don't have to! Because it worked!! And while the positioning is a little wonky, and the cake has a slight lean to it, I was happy enough with the exterior. When I cut into it and saw a semi-distinguishable heart shape, I did the ultimate heel click in my kitchen.

Oh, and didn't I promise you a picture of the snow bank in my parking lot? That's just purely snow that has been plowed into a 15 foot pile. You're not even looking at the snow are you? You're too distracted by the gray spandex that I'm wearing outside. It's okay. I'm ashamed.

Acutally, here is the tutorial. Is this how you did yours? Where did you find the idea?
