New

I started my new job on Monday.  It's slightly overwhelming, which is weird, because I don't get overwhelmed.  It's also crazy what I'm learning about radiation therapy, and so far, I've deduced that I don't want cancer.  But if I had to pick (yes we had this conversation at work) I'd choose breast or skin cancer.  And more than anything I don't want endometrial, cervical, ovarian, anal, or rectal cancer.  And if you don't think that our work is depressing enough, my fellow employees talked about the end of the world for their whole lunch break.  Awesome.

I gotsta new laptop on Sunday, and I'm stoked.  Now I can skype whenever I want.  And now I just can't wait for school.  I'm still that nerdy kid that gets excited about school supplies.  I want to buy pens and notebooks and college-ruled paper.  If I could fast forward to August I would.  But then I'd be 24, and well, I'm quite comfortable being 23.

I made Chris run 6.75 miles last Sunday, and he hates running long distances.  So to make it up to him I'm told him I'd go to the track and time sprints with him one day (thinking he would forget about it).  Today he called my bluff, so to the track we went.  Yeah, he really made me do repeated 400 meter sprints.  I thought my heart was going to burn through my chest.  I also tripped over my big, uncoordinated feet twice.  It's just so hard to keep track of them when they are moving as fast as they can.  I made it out alive, but with very little dignity left.  I don't think Chris will ask me to do sprints with him again.

Yay for new laptops!! We got new phones this week and it is SO fun. And I'm jealous of all your running ... my accident injuries are almost better and then I am so going to start prepping to run a race with you ... or behind you ... sometime in the next year. :)
