Crock Pot!

It's getting cold. I say cold because most of the people who read this live in the South, and 30s and 40s are cold. To all you Mainers, this is nothing.

Anyway, cold weather totally changes the cooking game plan. I need hot meals now. The only problem is, I leave for work from 5:30-6:30am most days and don't get home until 4-5:30pm. (and if I go to the gym it's around 7). So by the time I'm get home from work or the gym I'm starving and don't want to cook dinner.

So in order to keep myself from o.d.ing on Subway and Wendy's crispy chicken nuggets, I'm gonna need some good crock pot recipes. So if you have any, please share. And if I find some, I'll be sharing them along the way.

And just in case you didn't know, here are some slow cooker tips:
- Layer your ingredients. Vegetables should be placed in the bottom and up the sides of the pot, then layer in the meat on top.
- Fill 'er up. It's best to fill a slow cooker to at least one-half and no more than three-fourths full.
- Keep the lid on. Each time you lift the lid you'll lengthen the cooking time, this can be anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes.

Ttfn, ta ta* for now!
