Dear Maine Marathon

Dear Marathon,

You kicked my ass, but it's okay; I kicked yours too.

Dear Hills at Miles 5, 6 , 7, 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 22, and 22,

You were very much UNappreciated

Dear Husband (Mr. Darcy),

You were so supportive it was ridiculous. I'm pretty sure you were the loudest and proudest boy out there. And every time I saw you at a mile marker or opened up a text from you, I might have cried a little (shhh don't tell anyone). I'm so, so lucky to have you! xxx

Dear Binny,

Thanks for your videography skills. Plus, you did a pretty good job hollering, and you did hang out in 30 degree weather for 5 hours watching a bunch of nasty looking people run. :)

Dear Jon,

I cannot believe you chauffeured everyone around Portland and Farmouth, and let us sleep at your house, and woke up at 6am to watch the enntiree race. You're awesome.

Dear Bill the Walker,

Just as I thought I couldn't go one, there you were. Huffing and puffing and pumping those elbows. Your foamy gatorade bottle and little white pills went against all Jenae-like judgement. But calf cramps and tight shoulders got the best of me. Thank you for roofies of goodness and words of encouragement.

Dear Mom,

You might not know it, but I tatted (with pen, of course) a big heart with your name on it on my foot. That way it was like you were running it with me! I even had red shoes, red shorts, a red tank top, and a red jacket, just for you!

LOVE xoxo,
Jenae
